MORE THAN JUST GUITARS
Public school funding in the United States comes from federal, state, and local sources, but because about half of those funds come directly from local property taxes, there is naturally large differences between wealthy and impoverished communities.
If a child is born with a gift somewhere without a school music program, that gift could be lost forever. Studies show children in a school system with a music program develop increases in brain capacity, emotional resilience, empathy, and can identify and separate sounds faster. This is a location-based issue that leads children to develop richer vocabularies and learn faster than children who do not have exposure to a school music program. Help us Shape the Future.

We realize there are thousands of organizations that focus on giving instruments to schools, funding scholarships, and higher education. The Jericho Music Foundation chooses a different method by applying funds directly to creating school programs that do not currently exist. Money is raised through individual donations and fundraising events. We do not have a physical location or paid staff. All money given through charitable donations goes directly to funding specific school music programs that are carefully selected as funds and applications are received.
